Rodriguez question

In case you haven't posted, here is your question:
How is Rodriguez’ experience of education and family similar to or different from your own? Write at least 200 words on this topic, supporting your assertion with a (properly-integrated) quote from Rodriguez.

My school experience is very different from that of Richard Rodriquez. From as early as I can remember I was always the kid who never tried his hardest ALL the time. I was always more interested in having fun and making sure everyone else did too. This led me into the role of the class clown very early on in school. For the most part I did not posess the drive that Rodriques did. I would have a streak of laziness every so often and would be content with my "C" average so long as I was having fun. But when I was in trouble of earning a "D" I would pick up the pace and become a learning machine, I would actually do my homework when I got home from school and sometimes even check it. As soon as I pulled my grade up to a "B" I would ease back into the "Bad" student. When Rodriguez revealed that "Although I was a very good student, I was also a very bad student" it reminded me of grammar school and how I too was a very good student, when I needed to be and that I was also a very bad student, most of the time.
